A Golden Opportunity to boost participation – Bowls England
Bowls England would like each club to register a Birmingham 2022 Activator to be the point of contact for these projects. This could be an existing committee member or an opportunity for clubs to engage new volunteers.
Would you be prepared to be our Activator? If you are interested please reply to Paul Eales. Nominations are only open until 19th January so if you can help please action this quickly.
HELP NEEDED
The Green Team has now treated and killed a lot of the moss which we need to do in the effort to stop it getting on the green by footfall and wind blown spores.
The next move is to clear away the dead moss and re-edge the path around the green. Some tarmac areas will require repairs as a follow up to this operation.
For the work to be completed during the green closure period the Green Team need some help. One suggestion is a weekend working party. Any able bodied members who would be willing to help at a future date (to be arranged) are asked to reply to Roger Gatland (roger.65@live.co.uk).

Providing the COVID situation improves we will aim for a restart with a practice session on Tuesday 8th February, the League to commence the following week and Saturday Drives to restart on Saturday 12th February.
New league participants are always welcome.
We will review this later in January and a further announcement will be issued.

It has been decided to cancel the Practice Session tomorrow and pause the start of the Short Mat League and Saturday Drives for the moment.
