2024/25 SEASON
Due to the intensive construction activities for the Communications Mast in the car park we have deferred the Short Mat start date until the New Year.
FORMAT
Teams are drawn from those present – pairs, triples or rinks depending upon numbers.
Play starts at 2 pm (be there by 1.50pm please!). A tea/coffee & biscuits break is taken at 3 pm followed by a further hour of bowls. There is a charge of £2 to cover refreshments and overheads.
GENERAL
Short Mat seesions take place over the winter months from November to April and generally consists of playing for 2 hours in the clubhouse on 2 carpets. Rules are roughly the same as the outdoor game with a slight variation regarding jack and bowls in the ditch
The short mat season consists of 2 afternoon sessions, you may take part in one or both of these:
Saturday Drive
Tuesday Drive
The short mat fee of £21 can be paid by cash or card .
