INDOOR LEAGUES UPDATE

Following the very close 8-2 win against Godstone in the Spitfire League last week, in which two rinks were tied, the updated table is shown below.

Hopefully we will have a strong team available to take on Banstead Rainbow in the final round on 16th March as we need to finish in the top two positions to progress to the finals on 6th April.

In the Colin Hibbs League we have dropped a few places with some recent losses.

Thanks must go to all our members who have represented RBC in these leagues.

An e-mail has been sent to all Playing Members. At last year’s AGM Club Members overwhelmingly voted to continue with a rink booking system. Any Member not able to use the system will have a “friend” to make bookings for them. We are pleased to announce the club website has a new rink booking system. …

OUTDOOR SEASON

This is fast approaching – let’s hope it is a warm Spring! The subscription renewal forms will be sent out by e-mail later this month.

Here are some dates for your diary:

The Get Together will be on Thursday 24th March at 7.30pm in the Clubhouse – come along with your subscription and completed form and hear the latest news

The Green will be open from Monday 18th April – weather permitting – it is a Bank Holiday!

The Opening Drive will be Sunday 24th April in the afternoon – a notice with more details will be posted in the Clubhouse and online in due course

Watch out for an announcement soon about our improved online Rink Booking System.

SHORT MAT PRACTICE SESSION TOMORROW

07/02/2022

Do come and try out our new (or nearly new) mats. Some informal bowls from 2.00pm. Please be there by 1.45pm or you can join in after tea and biscuits at about 3.15pm. £1.50 charge to cover refreshments and heating. Clubhouse will be ventilated so wear warm clothes.

During the afternoon we will decide on the midweek programme up to early April.
