COVID-19 UPDATE
New more relaxed playing guidelines were issued by Bowls England on 2nd June – a day after we re-opened! These will be discussed by the Emergency Team next week. An update will be issued shortly afterwards, taking into account feedback from our first two weeks operating under the initial guidelines.
About 50% of the available rink bookings have been utilised with the majority favouring the 2.30pm slot. Thanks to all for observing the social distancing and equipment sanitising procedures. Two couples have purchased personal mats and jacks as their own safety precaution!
Should members have a problem booking could they please first read the instructions carefully to check if they are doing something wrong or misunderstanding; if they are still having problems then read the Booking FAQ’s prior to assuming that there is a fault with the system. Thanks to Steve Whiting’s good work a fault is very unlikely!
Finally a big “thank you very much” to the slimline Green Team of Paul Lindley & PJ Brennan (Tuesdays), Roger & Marion Gatland (Wednesdays) and Ken & Di Jupp (Fridays) who have kept the green and surrounds in good fettle for our restricted sessions.
