- OUTDOOR CLUBS LEAGUES AT DONYNGS IBCRBC continued their Spitfire League campaign on Wednesday against Reigate Priory and came out 8-2 winners. So we remain 2 points behind Caterham who beat Brockham 8-2 but we are in a good position to reach the finals. In the Colin Hibbs League our 2 teams are having differing fortunes with Redhill A having a match in hand over the top 3 and not too far behind them. Redhill B are near the foot of the table but again have a match on many of the teams above so could climb.
- SHORT MAT SEASON RESUMPTIONText of email sent to Short Mat Players (and potential new ones) – via bcc:Thank you to our short mat players for your patience during the construction of the communications mast in our car park. It was certainly the correct decision to defer the start having witnessed the weekday activities and the state of the access track to the Club.We plan to recommence Short Mat at RBC on Tuesday 7th January and then every Saturday and Tuesday until about Easter. Just turn up by 1.50pm for a prompt 2pm start – the finish is about 4.15 – 4.30 pm.The Directors have agreed to waive the short mat fee this season due to the very truncated period. There will be the usual session fee of £2 which includes refreshments at the halfway point. Anyone who has paid their fee will get a refund or a credit towards their 2025 subscription.Hope to see you there!
- ACCESS FOR FRIDAY & SATURDAY’S CHRISTMAS COFFEE MORNINGThe contractor has today scraped the whole track and has laid 30 tonne of MOT Type 1 material. Please drive slowly as there will be some loose material. Also, keep to the centre of the track as the edges will be softer. The car park is clear. This is a temporary fix and will be further inspected to see what needs improving after it has had some traffic.
