2018 REIGATE & BANSTEAD BOROUGH PAIRS
Entry closes on Friday for this popular Competition open to Men, Ladies or Mixed Pairs kindly sponsored by Beadles Kia Coulsdon. Entrants must be resident or play for a club in the Borough. The semifinals and final are at Redhill BC on Bank Holiday Monday 27th August. Any queries to Ames Brisley.
FRANK HALL TROPHY
This annual event was held on Saturday 23rd June and members enjoyed a full afternoon of bowls in pleasant sunshine. After a round robin the two highest scoring teams played four ends to decide the winner.
Beating their opponents 5-0 to claim the trophy were Daniel Mullen, Val Hobart and Roy Wren pictured with Gill Jarrett who presented the trophy.
Runners up were John Jeffery, Roy Wilkins and Edna Brisley.
Well done to John & Lyn Davison for the organisation and catering.

Great work by Alex Gaunt, Bryan Gaunt and Vanessa Gaunt in clearing the accumulated debris around the Visitors Changing Room and carting it to the skip in the car park. What a transformation!
CLUB COMPETITIONS REMINDER
Next Saturday (16th) morning is the first round of the Drawn Triples. See photo for participants.
Next Sunday (17th) is the final date for first round matches in the Men’s Championship Singles, Handicap Singles and 100 UP (extract from the RBC competition guidelines on ROUND COMPLETION is repeated below). If you are the Challenger you must offer a minimum of 2 dates to your opponent or you will forfeit the match.
ROUND COMPLETION
Members should only enter competitions if they will be able to complete rounds by the allotted dates. Holiday commitments will not be regarded as sufficient reason for extending round deadlines. The completion date for each round will NOT be extended except by prior permission of the Competition Secretary.
