Text of email sent to Playing Members (via bcc)
Thank you to all who have signed up for the Tuesday Afternoon Triples and the Friday Evening Aussie Pairs. Both of these leagues are viable and we have two members willing to act as reserves for any team.
Next Tuesday (16th) we will be holding the draw for the team line ups at 11am.  Come and watch! Playing schedules will be issued in due course with both leagues starting later in May.
If you haven’t signed up on the competition entry form or have yet to submit your form, then there is still time to add your name. Please let me know asap if you wish to be added into Tuesday’s draw for one or both of these leagues.
Regards
John Davison

SPITFIRE LEAGUE UPDATE

14/03/2024
At yesterday’s finals at Donyngs IBC there was disappointment for RBC. In the semi-final we lost by 3 shots to the eventual winners Caterham who beat Banstead Neville in the final.
THe 3rd/4th play off was again close with Epsom taking the game with a weighted final shot to secure a 2 shot win.
Thanks to all the RBC players who participated yesterday and in our round robin campaign and to Rob Hobart for the organisation this year.

VICTORY FOR RBC IN FRANK HALL TOURNAMENT

03/03/2024

On Saturday 2nd March at Donyngs Indoor Bowling Club, two RBC Fours competed against 16 other teams. The Redhill B team of Paul Eales, Gill Jarrett, John Kujawski & Darren Rosser won all their round robin games. After beating Purley Bury in the semi-final they then secured the trophy beating Banstead Neville (who had beaten Croydon MO in their semi) by the stunning score of 15-1. More than 30 ends were played over the morning and afternoon.

In their round robin games Redhill A (Phil Deighton, Ken Ede, Ann Pannell & Brian Edward Styles) won 2 of their 3 games including a memorable 7-5 win over Chipstead – last year’s winners – and finished 4th in their group.

So very well done to both teams on their performances in a long day of competition against some of the best clubs in our area.
