BUSY EVENING AT RBC

Tonight, as well as the usual Aussie Pairs League and Social Drive there is a first round Marathon Sports Pairs match and a club competition singles. Do come along and take part in the Social Drive if not competing. Or just come and watch from the terrace on a nice warm evening.
The bar will be open and sausage rolls will be available after the Pairs League finishes.

BORDER LEAGUE UPDATE

Despite last Thursday’s 2-8 defeat against the strong Old Coulsdon Bowls Club we are currently 2nd in the table. It is early in the season but the promotion battle will revolve aroung 2nd place in your correspondent’s humble opinion.
RBC will hope for a good points score when we play Newdigate away on Thursday 20th June. Please sign up if you haven’t done so already.

Good to see 6 teams from RBC (5 Men’s Pairs, 1 Ladies’ Pairs) plus 2 further teams with an RBC member have entered this year’s competition.
The competition draw takes place at RBC at 7.00pm on Wednesday 29th May. Please come and watch! If you haven’t entered yet there is still time. Please enter online by Tuesday 28th May using the link below:

FRIDAY SOCIAL EVENING

Some of you will have already seen our Facebook post and Website/Latest News publicising our proposed Friday Social Evenings. If not, the attached poster gives more details.

The Aussie Pairs League starts at 6.15pm. Playing members not involved in the league tomorrow are welcome to join in an informal drive which Barry Martyn will organise – be there by 6pm please. Spectators are welcome too.

After bowls why not enjoy a hot (or cold) sausage roll and a drink from the bar. The May Century Club Draw will also be held. Draw numbers are still available to purchase at £5 for the 5 monthly draws or £1 for a number in the May Draw!

If successful we hope to continue with this event in future weeks.
