MESSAGE FROM BRYAN GAUNT
Hi All
As you know a considerable amount of effort has gone in to keeping harmony with the allotment holders regarding the gate access.
It appears that both side are not entirely adhering to the agreed process.
It is quite clear and the process has been communicated regularly.
Please would you take every opportunity to remind members that on non club days or special event days upon entering and leaving the club the gate MUST BE closed. The last member leaving the club needs to lock the gate.
Well done to Steve Whiting and Jon Wilson representing Chipstead winning the Borough Pairs again this year in their final against David Rigg and Jim Cunningham of Redhill. The preliminary rounds are now complete and the line up for the semi-finals is now known.
We much appreciate the continued support of this event by Beadles KIA Coulsdon. They have kindly donated our top raffle prize – a car “LifeShine” Autoglym treatment including a full valet.

“I have been checking other BL match results of yesterday! Newdigate beat Horley 8-2 and Lindfield beat Horsham 8-2. This leaves us at present in 5th position on 48pts, Newdigate on 51pts/Lindfield 54pts/Horley 57pts and Horsham 58pts.
This means two potential outcomes, we get 4pts we survive, get 10pts we could on shot difference win the league! ”
……but 3pts would leave us level on 51pts with Newdigate (shot difference to decide) and 2pts or less means we are definitely demoted to Division 2.
Fingers crossed for a good result! Would players please arrive in good time for a 5.45 pm start.
RBC played Chipstead in the morning semi-finals on 12th August and lost after a close tussle 22-18. We secured 3rd place in the afternoon with a comfortable 20-11 win over Epsom Park. Bletchingley beat Chipstead to win the Area Title.
Well done Roland Simon,John Davison, Roger Gatland & Paul Eales for making it through to the finals and securing 3rd place.
