The last of the Fun Competitions was held yesterday with the St. Helier triples team ( Janet Brunt, Alex Gaunt & Daniel Mullen) overcoming Queen Victoria (Sam Alan, Jennifer Eales & David Rigg) 14-4 with some excellent bowling from both teams. TRIPLES PLAY OFF
The play off for the Triples Fun Competition will be held tomorrow (Sunday) starting at 2.30 pm. The 1st & 2nd placed in the results tables will compete under the same rules as the round robin matches. So it will be Jan, Alex & Dan v Sam, Jenny & David.

The bar will be open and tea/coffee with biscuits/cake will be available to consume on the terrace. The clubhouse will be open for access to the bar and toilets. Spectators are welcome but please observe social distancing.

INFORMAL DRIVES NEXT WEEK

Listen up folks. I am organising two informal drives for members who want some friendly competitive bowls. This will be pairs or triples depending on numbers – with teams drawn out of the hat. These will be held at 4.00 pm on Monday 14th and Wednesday 16th Sept (not Thursday as I suggested this afternoon). Normal Covid-19 precautions will apply. DISPOSAL OF BOTTLES/ CANS & SKIP AT RBC
With no draught beer or cider on in the bar we are generating large amounts of recyclable material at present. Thank you to those members that have already taken material to put in their home bin. If more members could do this that would help spread the burden.
We have space in the skip in the RBC car park if members want to dispose of large items not suitable for household waste collection. This can be done weekdays when the club is open.
