COVID-19 UPDATE

21/08/2020

The Emergency Team met via Zoom last evening. The following decisions were made.

It was agreed to allow the use of pushers for club competitions. One player from each team should be nominated to operate a pusher at each end. Due to fixture congestion and recent adverse weather it was agreed that fixtures are permissible at weekends with teams arranging their own opening and locking up. Please alert Steve Whiting to any weekend fixture.

Club competition play offs for 1st and 2nd place will be held on Saturday 5th Sept – Pairs commencing at 2.00pm and Singles at 4.00pm. Reserve day in case of bad weather is Sunday 6th Sept. The Triples play off will be held at 2.30pm on Sunday 13th Sept (reserve day Sunday 20th Sept). Dress code will be whites and finalists are encouraged to wear club shirts. Volunteers to turn the scoreboard are requested. Spectators are welcome with social distancing to be observed. The clubhouse will only be open for toilets and hand washing. The bar will be open for drinks on the terrace if bar staff are available.
