If you are new to bowls and thinking of playing outdoors in the summer do come along during the season and see our facilities – ideally on a Monday evening; or another day by arrangement. After familiarisation with the sport newer bowlers can then join in further taster sessions, roll ups or informal games. You will need some flat-soled shoes such as plimsoles/trainers. We will loan you some bowls so you can try out the sport before making any commitment. We have 2 qualified bowls coaches who can help your introduction to the sport. We do not charge for coaching.
We do not pressure people to join the club straight away Once you are certain the sport is for you then you can then join at a special introductory rate of £53 for the first year – reducing pro rata through the season. The 2019 Summer Membership fee is £106 p.a. – reducing pro rata through the season. There are no further green fees. Participation in the Short Mat Season is an additional £17 p.a. Junior Membership (25 and under) is £22 p.a. but only £11 in your first season.
