On Saturday 2nd March at Donyngs Indoor Bowling Club, two RBC Fours competed against 16 other teams. The Redhill B team of Paul Eales, Gill Jarrett, John Kujawski & Darren Rosser won all their round robin games. After beating Purley Bury in the semi-final they then secured the trophy beating Banstead Neville (who had beaten Croydon MO in their semi) by the stunning score of 15-1. More than 30 ends were played over the morning and afternoon.
In their round robin games Redhill A (Phil Deighton, Ken Ede, Ann Pannell & Brian Edward Styles) won 2 of their 3 games including a memorable 7-5 win over Chipstead – last year’s winners – and finished 4th in their group.
So very well done to both teams on their performances in a long day of competition against some of the best clubs in our area.
RBC has two Fours teams entered for this year’s competition. Last year we were able to enter three teams who all did very well. One Four reached the final to lose out to a strong Chipstead team.
Good luck to our players for Saturday. If you are not playing then you may wish to come and support our teams. Play starts at 10am and continues well into the afternoon. Refreshments will be available.

In the final round of the Spitfire League yesterday RBC maintained their 100% winning record by overcoming Epsom BC 8-2. Despite trailing nearing half way two of our rinks recorded some high scoring ends to give us the overall lead which we maintained to post a 50-34 shot score. RBC sit top of the table …
