The Reigate Festival of Sport is taking place this coming Sunday (6^TH May), starting at 10:30 in Priory Park, Reigate. The Club has secured a pitch near the Pavilion & Park Office.

This is an opportunity to showcase our Club and potentially pick up some new members. However, we need your help.

Could I ask for some volunteers to help on the day. I will be at RBC at 9:00 on Sunday morning to load up the equipment we need. However, I may struggle to get everything in my car, so I need some volunteers to help load, transport, unload and set up at our pitch.

It was also be helpful if some club members could come along on the day to help on our stand. This will involve talking to people, trying out the game of bowls and encouraging them to come along to the club. This is a great opportunity some please do try and come along.

The Festival is due to finish at 3:30 and I will need some help to transport everything back to the club.

Thanks to everyone. I hope to see as many people as possible on Sunday

39 members plus lots of spectators enjoyed great weather and a good afternoon of bowls at our first event of the season. Top rink were Roy Wren, Lyn Davison, Alan Beaver and David Rigg. Tea and home made cakes were enjoyed afterwards. Thanks to Lyn Davison and Sam Alan for the organisation and those who made cakes and helped wash up afterwards.

The Clubhouse phone is currently out of action. A fault has been logged. Would Green Stewards or other members at the club this week please check if the phone is working by calling John Davison’s mobile on 07817 616161 as similar problems in the past have been intermittent.

The Club will be open for the Season on weekday afternoon and evenings starting 2.30 pm Monday 16th April. The green is in excellent condition but will be heavy at this stage of the season. Please follow any instructions from the Green Steward or posted on the notice board.

Our first event is the Opening Drive on Sunday 22nd April – sign up at the Clubhouse or contact Lyn Davison before the teams  are drawn up on Thursday evening.

Standing room only at last night’s pre-season Get Together. Lots of good vibes and great to see so many new playing and social members. Green to open on Monday 16th April weather permitting.
