EVENING PAIRS POSTPONED

The Green Team are very concerned about possible damage to brown areas of the green following today’s rain. They have closed 4 rinks so the remaining two are to be used this evening for the booked Marathon Sports match and a Club Competition.
It is proposed that the Evening Pairs matches can be played instead on Friday evening (19th). Can Team Leaders please review if they can field a team?

GREAT WIN TODAY v HORLEY IN THE NORTH DOWNS LEAGUE

RBC shrugged off our indifferent form in the NDL to record a 9-1 points win today against 3rd placed Horley BC. The rink results being 13-13/19-13/14-11 in favour of Redhill.
Well done all.
Unfortunately we are still bottom – tied on points with Caterham but with a lower shot difference.

TWO MORE LADIES NEEDED

TWO MORE LADIES NEEDED FOR NDL MIXED TRIPLES MATCH ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON 13th AUGUST
Match is at home versus Reigate Priory so nice friendly opponents (usually). Sign up on line or contact Lyn Davison please.
Also more players needed for home friendly v Bookham on Sunday 14th August.

VOLUNTEERS PLEASE

The semi-finals/finals of the Redhill & District Pairs sponsored by Marathon Sports will be held on Bank Holiday Monday 29th August.
We will be welcoming players from many of our neighbouring clubs and RBC players are still in the competition.
Many thanks to those members who have already signed up to help. We still need volunteers for several activities. See notice below. Sign up in the Clubhouse or let Lyn Davison know.
Good quality raffle donations are also requested in aid of club funds. There is a box in the Clubhouse for these.

BORDER LEAGUE UPDATE

We play our final league match against Horsham Park at home at 6pm on Thursday 11th August in a very strong position to achieve promotion back to Division 1.

SIGNING UP FOR MATCHES

Dear Playing Members

Thank you to those who have been using our online system for signing up for matches.

However, we are struggling to fill the teams for some friendly and NDL fixtures. This has recently resulted in several cancelled matches.

The online system will remain our primary system. We need  to increase sign up rates for matches. From tomorrow paper sign up match sheets will also be available on the noticeboard in the Clubhouse. We hope this makes our system more inclusive and better publicises the fixtures.

Please urge your friends to sign up or we will lose more fixtures.

Teams will be chosen from the names signed up by both methods and will be displayed both online and in the clubhouse.

It is not necessary to sign up on both.

This trial will run until the end of this season and will be reviewed.
