As announced at the Opening Drive the Aussie Pairs has been replaced with a Friday Drive open to all playing members. (entry fee for the Aussie Pairs will be refunded on request to John D).

The first Drive is this Friday (1^st May) and will run every week through the season.

Ben and Lyn are organising the first week. If you can volunteer to help organise future weeks, then please let them know.

Please be at the Club by 6pm for a 6.15pm start. Teams will be drawn and will decide their own playing order. Format (Pairs, Triples or Rinks) will depend on the number playing.

Dress code is mufti.

No trial ends – 1 shot on the first end. Killed end – 1 shot to the opposing team.

No ends will start after 8pm.

Score cards to be completed please. Over the season your weekly scores will be totalled, and the top average player will be presented with a trophy.

Do come and enjoy some friendly competitive bowling.

We have over 30 members signed up to bowl on Saturday afternoon and several social members are hoping to come and watch.

Dress code is Greys. If you are bowling please be there no later than 2.15 pm for the 2.30 pm start. If you haven’t yet signed up online or in the Clubhouse and want to bowl then please Reply All to this message to add your name.

There will be home made cake and tea/coffee available for a donation to our Club Charity – Age Concern Merstham. The bar will be open!

Thanks to the efforts of the Green and Gardening Team preparations are well advanced for the start of the outdoor season on Saturday18th April with our Opening Drive.
There are some tasks still to carry out which are additional to the usual green maintenance.
If any of you can spare a few hours on the mornings of Tuesday 14th and Friday 17th April to lend a hand that would be appreciated. The club will be open from 9.30am (probably a bit earlier!).

Here is the Club Finals Timetable at Donyngs IBC with matches starting from tomorrow evening. Lots of RBC involvement. Come along and support if you can.

Message from Bryan Gaunt: “I have booked 3 sessions for ESL practice on Wednesday 22nd April (morning, afternoon and evening). Please make every effort to come to one of these sessions as it is important to get as much green time as possible before the league starts.” In order to get an idea of numbers …
