CHIPSTEAD WIN RBC MEN’S INVITATION DAY TROPHY

29/07/2018

16 teams competed on a fine day at RBC with Chipstead, Godstone, Sutton B and Felbridge filling the top four places. Dickie Day collected the trophy for Chipstead surrounded by the other finalists and Monty Brigden, RBC President. Our thanks go to Eyeworks Opticians for their sponsorship of the event, to Gary Parsons and Ames Brisley for the organisation, Belinda Young and David Rigg for the catering and all the other members who helped on the day.

A very enjoyable afternoon at RBC. Winners of the fun bowls were France (Brian Cox, Carole Wedge, Allan Penton and Val Hobart and the Runners-Up were Denmark (Edna Brisley, Rob Hobart and John Davison). Surrey Top 4 Competition Result

Congratulations to the Redhill team (Roland Simon-John Davison-Roger Gatland-Paul Eales) in beating Purley BC 20-14. Redhill will play either Horley or Bookham in the next round, to be played by 6th August.

FRIDAY 20th JULY – HELP NEEDED

Our Friday afternoon Green Steward has been called up to play in the Surrey Area 3 Top 4 match away at Purley. If any RBC keyholder can help us out by opening up the club from 2.30 pm that would be greatly appreciated.
Any RBC members intending to visit on Friday afternoon are advised to ring the clubhouse to check if it is open.

Redhill will be playing Purley BC in the second round on Friday 20th July at Purley at 2pm. Redhill Team: Roland Simon – John Davison – Roger Gatland – Paul Eales.

London & Southern Counties – Pairs Result

Congratulations to Paul Eales and Bryan Gaunt in beating Eltham BC in the Area C Final. Paul and Bryan will now progress to the semi-finals, to be played in early August.

Current Hours

There are three bowls sessions every weekday – starting at 2.00pm, 4.00pm and  6.00pm. On Wednesday and Thursday there are sessions starting at 11.00 am. Members can pre-book a rink online.

We are open Saturday & Sunday for Club Matches and Events.
