RBC wishes all its members and friends a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

The Short Mat Drives recommence on Saturday 5th January (contact Lyn Davison) and there is a Whist Drive in the afternoon of Saturday 19th January (contact John or Joan Hoad).

Don’t forget to come along on Saturday morning. The Christmas Draw will be held about 11.30 a.m. – lot’s of lovely prizes! 94 numbers sold already.

Fun was had by all at the short mat mid-season play offs yesterday. The Lions team (Steve Whiting) prevailed against the Tigers (Roger Gatland) for top spot. The Pumas (John Davison) secured the wooden spoon after losing a tight game to the Leopards (Bryan Gaunt).
After the matches club members enjoyed a hot meal, a raffle and the prize presentation – lots of chocolate bars!
Well done Pam and Steve for all their hard work and to everyone else who helped on the day.

We understand that Roy Wilkins was readmitted to hospital earlier this week in connection with his ongoing heart problems. It is with great regret that we have to announce that Roy passed away yesterday morning.

Our thoughts are with Pam and her family.

A great loss to Redhill Bowling Club and to Donyngs Indoor Bowling Club where he was currently Men’s Captain.

This has been rearranged for the afternoon of Tuesday 4th December.

It is with much sadness we have to report that Carole and Harry Wedge were involved in a serious motor accident last Tuesday and that Carole  has died of her injuries today.

Our thoughts are with Harry and Carole’s family following this dreadful news.
