In a nail biting finish at Felbridge in fading light scores we’re level after 20 ends. With Felbridge holding 2 shots a superbly weighted final bowl from RBC pushed the jack back to secure a 1 shot win 16-15. RBC now play Purley Bury or Carshalton in the semi-final on 11th August. We’ll done to the RBC team – Alex Gaunt, John Davison, Roger Gatland & Bryan Gaunt.
The Drawn Triples final will be played at RBC on Saturday 3rd August starting at 10 a.m. Dress code is whites, please as this is a final. There are also other club competitions being played that morning and Surrey Under 25s coaching will be taking place.
So plenty of bowls to come and watch if you are not playing.
Good to see lots of club competitions being played over the next week or so. The quarter finals deadline is Sunday 11th August so any matches not yet arranged need dates organising as a matter of urgency.

On 14th July in the North Downs League RBC had an impressive 65-38 shot win at home to Chipstead. The 10 points gained moved us up to 4th place in the league. RBC lost 8-2 at Popes Mead in the Border League on 18th July but retain top spot but with one match more played …
Two good wins for RBC.
In the Border League on 11th July RBC came out winners against Godstone 10-0.
In a tight match on 12th July RBC ‘B’ (Alex Gaunt, John Davison, Roger Gatland & Bryan Gaunt) won the final two ends by 3 shots to secure the win 19-16 against a strong Wallington ‘A’ team.

RBC continued their good run in the Border League with an 8-2 win over Horsham Park on 4th July.
