Our existing landline contact has expired. With the impending digitisation of our landline, we have been advised that our existing copper line which is overhead via 5 poles would still be utilised with the fibre optic cable terminating at the distant roadside cabinet. Members will be aware that this long stretch of overhead line has developed regular faults. Also, a mobile is a much cheaper solution that continuing with a landline. So the Club has switched to a mobile solution using a Galaxy A9 tablet with an 02 SIM which is now operational.

This tablet is now sited in the Clubhouse just inside the main door on top of the drawer unit. I attach a notice which has been placed with the phone. Please update your contact details for the Club.

You will see from the notice that in addition to providing a mobile connection, members will be able to access the Club’s Rink Diary and Teams page on our website.

Final arrangements are being made for Saturday’s event. After a “Spider” to win a bottle of bubbly there will be 14 ends of Triples. There is still time to add your name to bowl (contact Paul Eales today) or just to join in the Afternoon Tea with profits going to the ESH Cancer Support Centre.

The Raffle will also be in aid of our charity – more prize donations welcome. We will also hold the monthly Century Club Draw.

Thank you to those who have offered to help on the day. There will be plenty to do on the day including putting out the equipment and clearing up at the end of our final event of the outdoor season so please lend a hand.
