MICHAEL WRETHAM

10/12/2020

We have learnt the sad news that Michael passed away unexpectedly yesterday.

Michael joined Redhill BC from Battlebridge BC after it closed in 2006. He had to stop bowling several years ago but continued to serve on the Club Committee. His kitchen expertise as a qualified chef was much appreciated.

Michael was a good bowler and won the Club Pairs Championship in 2012 with Steve Whiting beating the strong pairing of Gary Parsons & Robert Wicks. He was a finalist in the Borough Pairs – again with Steve Whiting – and the Club’s Handicap Pairs on 2 occasions. Michael was also a regular member of the RBC Border League Team and played in the winning Border League Cup Final team in 2008.

Should anybody wish to make a donation in memory of Michael then Canine Partners would be appropriate as Michael and Nora actively supported this charity and many members will remember them bringing the assistance dogs to RBC.
