When can I play

If you had four paws like me,
Then you would be Covid free.

It might not be a proper match you see,
But it would be good fun for me.
.
You wouldn’t have to use sanitizing gel,
And please could the jack have a sausage smell.

You wouldn’t have to stand 2 metres apart,
But I’d love the mat to be a jam tart.

I would like to chase after the bowl,
Especially if it looked like a bread roll.

To run up and down the rink would make my day,
But I think the green team would want me to stay away.

I’d be able to help you water the green,
But you wont be impressed by the patches to be seen.

So instead I’ll dream for Friday chips to return,
So long as they are not allowed to burn,

I’ll come and watch the bowling fun,
Especially if there a burger in the bun.

I’ll bark at the clapping when there’s a good wood,
But, Oh to play bowls, if only I could.

Lottie
