BORDER LEAGUE UPDATE

DRAWN TRIPLES – SATURDAY 18th JULY
Six well balanced triples teams battled it out over a Round Robin in morning and afternoon sessions.
There were 17 spectators and helpers watching during the day.
Gill Jarrett kindly organised lunchtime catering and ice creams and most if not all those present stayed for lunch and kept the bar ticking over!
Winning team were Anne Currie, Ken Ede and Bryan Gaunt. See sidebar for image of the finalists.
DRAWN TRIPLES COMPETITION – SATURDAY 18TH JULY

Thank you for entering this year’s competition.
Just to confirm:-
- Starting at 10.30 am there will be 3 sessions of a Round Robin each of 5 ends
- During the lunch break filled rolls, sausage rolls and ice creams will be available at modest prices (many thanks to Gill Jarrett for volunteering to do this)
- At approx. 2.30 pm there will be 2 further rounds of the Round Robin
- After a refreshment break the 2 top teams on points will contest a final of 6 ends
Dress code is greys.
The usual competition entry fee of £1.50 per person will be collected on arrival (from those who haven’t already paid).
Teams will be drawn on Friday evening.
Please be at the Club in good time for the start!

DRAWN TRIPLES CLUB COMPETITION

Thank you to those who have already signed up. We have enough for the competition to run but it would be great to have some more members joining in.
If you would like to add your name, then please sign up in the clubhouse or on the Club Website/Rink Diary/Teams by close of play Wednesday 15th July so that we can draw the teams on Friday evening. If you have signed up and can no longer play let me know asap.
If the hot weather continues the number of ends will be limited with hydration breaks built in. If you have any questions about the competition, then please get in touch with me or Darren.
