COVID UPDATE – ASHTEAD ESL & DRAWN TRIPLES

28/07/2023
Text of e-mail sent to all members via bcc
Message from Captain Sam to all Members (via bcc):
Hi All,
Most members will be aware from Social Media that at the beginning of the week 6 members/partners who attended the Bowls & Buffet tested positive for COVID.
Over the past 2 days we haven’t had any new positive COVID cases reported. I have been in Communication with Ashtead, who are happy to play our ESL match tomorrow. We have ensured that the following will be in place on Saturday afternoon:
– Limited amount of people in the club house/changing rooms at any one time
– Hand sanitiser readily available
– Les & I will be going up to the club at midday to clean down surfaces/handles with antibacterial wipes/spray.
– Please try to only touch your own bowls
– We shall try to remain outside as much as possible.
We have also decided to postpone the Drawn Triples competition due to be played on Sunday morning as several participants have tested positive or have been exposed to COVID. There would be difficulties arranging so many substitutes who have not already played in the competition. Would nominated link persons please make all their team members aware.
If you do have any concerns please contact me.
Thank you,
Catesy
On behalf of the Captains, Committee and Directors
