RESULTS UPDATE – 4th JULY

04/07/2021

Mixed fortunes for RBC on a busy week of bowls.

In the Surrey Triples on Tuesday 29th June RBC travelled to Newdigate but lost on the final end.

On the following evening at home in the Surrey Senior 4s, the RBC team of Paul Eales , John Davison, Steve Whiting and Bryan Gaunt won by a 7 shot margin with one end to go when Dorking conceded.

RBC travelled to Horsham in the Border League on 1st July and after 3 close rinks came away 2-8 losers with a shot deficit of only 3.

At home in the Surrey Top 4 on Friday our opponents Felbridge started strongly but RBC clawed their way back into the match eventually winning 24-21. Well done to Scott Hall, Paul Eales, Steve Whiting & Bryan Gaunt for this excellent result.

In the Border League Cup on Sunday 4th July RBC entertained one Reigate Priory rink and sent a rink to their green. Our home team won convincingly 21-4 and the away team lost narrowly 17-15 giving RBC a 38-19 win overall. Well done all. We now play in the semi-final on Sunday 25th against Lindfield or Newdigate.

In the North Downs League RBC were due to host Warlingham Park today and had agreed to a delayed start at their request. Subsequently our opponents conceded as they were unable to field a full team.
