We opened for outdoor bowls on 21st April 2024. Our final event was Captains’ Day on 21st September 2024 and the green is now closed until the 2025 season
We are a friendly outdoor lawn bowls club founded in 1895 that caters for men and women of all ages and abilities. We play competitive matches in the Thursday Evening Border League, North Downs Mixed Triples League (midweek and weekends), East Surrey League (Men’s Rinks at weekends) & Jubilee Monday Evening League plus friendly fixtures with local clubs. We have internal leagues on Tuesday afternoons & Friday evenings plus club competitions. Matches are from April through to late September. We have a purpose-built clubhouse with terrace overlooking the green. An enjoyable evening can be spent with a drink from the bar, watching the bowls from the terrace with a back drop of the North Downs in the distance. There is a large car park next to the green.
In the closed season we play Short Mat Bowls in our clubhouse (see Short Mat Pages).
We are affiliated to Bowls England, Surrey County Bowling Association, and London & Southern Counties Bowling Association.
