Marathon Sports Reigate & District Pairs

After having to cancel last years competition it looks very promising that this year’s competition will proceed albeit under covid guidelines and sufficient pairs willing to enter.

We have this year a fantastic prize pot of £420. Our sponsor Marathon Sports strongly supports equal prize funds for both Men and Ladies and ask you encourage as many pairs especially Ladies Pairs to enter to make this a well supported event.All details are on the website Covid Restrictions

We are running the tournament this year under Bowls England GuidelinesAs this is classed as a district competition it comes under the category of an organised event.

District competition are allowed however this can only involve Bowls England Affiliated Clubs. **All participating players must be current members of a Bowls England Affiliated Club, and all matches must be played under the current Covid Guidlines. i.e. re use of jacks, mats, space between rinks etc.**

The Competition-The Marathon Sports Reigate & District Pairs (formerly the Reigate and Banstead Borough Pairs) is a knockout competition and is open to participants from bowls clubs local to Reigate. Pairs may be formed from 2 different clubs.

As well as a Men’s and Ladies competition there will be a combined plate competition (for those that get knocked out in the first round)

Semi Finals and Finals will be held at Redhill Bowling Club on Bank Holiday Monday 30th August with morning and afternoon sessions

The prize fund Total of £420 split between the 3 competitions as follows

Mens Winners £120 Runners Up £50 3rd place £20

Ladies Winners £120 Runners Up £50 3rd place £20

Plate Winner £40
